Laurie Simmons is an internationally recognized artist, known since the 1970's for her staged photographic works. Her work is included in the collection of The Brooklyn Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, The Guggenheim Museum and the Whitney Museum, among others. She had retrospectives at the Gothenburg Museum of Art, Sweden in 2012 and Neus Museum, Nuremberg in 2014. Recent solo exhibitions include the Jewish Museum, New York and the Contemporary Art Museum, St. Louis in 2015. She will have a retrospective which originates at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in 2018. She has just completed production on her first feature film, titled 'My Art.'
