Bret Stephens
Journalist, editor, and political commentator
Bret Stephens, winner of the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for commentary, is an op-ed columnist for The New York Times. He previously served as editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post and deputy editorial-page editor of the Wall Street Journal, where he also wrote the foreign-affairs column and served on the editorial board. He has reported stories from around the world and interviewed scores of world leaders.
Mr. Stephens was raised in Mexico City, educated at the University of Chicago and the London School of Economics, and holds three honorary doctorates. He lives in New York City with his family.
