Vice Chair for Health Policy, Indiana University, creator of Healthcare Triage video channel and the Incidental Economist

Dr. Aaron E. Carroll is not only a distinguished physician, administrator and researcher at Indiana University, but he is also the host of Healthcare Triage on YouTube, where he interprets medical conundrums and debunks health myths for a wide audience.

He also "talks about health research and health policy. He is also the co-author of "Don't Swallow Your Gum: Myths, Half-Truths, and Outright Lies About Your Body and Health," "Don't Cross Your Eyes…They'll Get Stuck That Way!: And 75 Other Health Myths Debunked," and "Don't Put That in There!: And 69 Other Sex Myths Debunked."

He is the Director of the Section of Pediatric and Adolescent and Comparative Effectiveness Research, the Vice Chair for Health Policy and Outcomes Research and the Director, Center for Health Policy and Professionalism Research at Indiana University.

He received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1998. He completed an internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Washington in Seattle and stayed at the University of Washington to complete a health services research fellowship in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program. During that time he received his master's degree in Health Services.
